Editors' Take

It's a nightlife revolution of robots, fembots, cybermen, steampunks and sex machines when electro/industrial/techno DJ Brad Rhodes joins the Shelter crowd.

Attention all fembots, cybermen, steampunks, rivetheads, sex machines and clockwork oranges, set your motors to rev, pistons to pump, and lasers on stun! Shelter and Punketta Doilie welcome the industrial-strength special guest DJ Brad Rhodes in April. His  technical expertise, flawless technique and obscenely huge music collection translates into a diverse mix of electro, industrial, old-school EBM, techno and rhythmic noise should only be attempted by professionals.

If you've been clubbing in Boston or Providence in the past decade, DJ Brad Rhodes has certainly made you dance.   He was the DJ/Resident of dance nights in Boston (Fuse @ Manray) and Providence, RI (Communion and Retro to name a few) and has spun guest spots at shows (like Noisex/Hypnoskull/Tunnel) and dance nights (like Black Magic, STRIKE! and Revolve). He's currently a resident DJ at PANIC! an 18+ dance night held every Tuesday at Club Hell in Providence , RI .

Shelter's electro-fest is open to all: human, androids, robots.  If you're interested in checking out this event but are worried about "fitting in", please don't be afraid! Shelter is not about wearing the "right" clothing. You are welcome to dress as glam/cyber/punk/fetish/goth/spaceman/fembot as you want, but there is no dress code except respect for others (and all applicable federal and state laws, I suppose).

Shelter about good people, great music and having fun. Check out the Bostonist interview with DJ Punketta Doilie to find out what's up with Boston 's dark dance scene.

Plug in, turn on, tune in and have fun.

Shelter -1st Saturday of every month.  No dress code.
