Editors' Take

When it comes to Boston Music Awards, singer/songwriter/troubadour Ellis Paul plays second fiddle to none other than Aerosmith (take that, Howie Day).

Tickets for this Event

  • August 15- 8pm with Ellis Paul - $30.00
Aboard the Frederick L. Nolan, Jr. at Boston Harbor Cruises- Long Wharf. Boat boards at 7:30pm. Will call opens at 7pm at the gate. Must be 21+

WERS welcomes Ellis Paul on August 15 aboard the Frederick L. Nolan, Jr. for a very special Rock and Blues Concert Cruise. Ellis Paul is a critically-acclaimed singer, songwriter, poet, and troubadour originally hailing from a potato farming family in northern Maine. He is the recipient of thirteen Boston Music Awards, second only to multi-platinum act, Aerosmith. Over the course of fifteen years, Ellis Paul has built a vast catalog of music which weds striking poetic imagery and philosophical introspection with hook-laden melodies.

Will call tickets can be picked up at Boston Harbor Cruises at the Gate where the Frederick L. Nolan is docked beginning 7pm night of show.  Boarding will begin at 7:30pm. Ticket holders must be 21+ unless otherwise noted

Discounted parking will be available at the International Place garage across from the Boston Harbor Hotel just a short walk from Long Wharf.  Parking at that location is $7 if you enter the garage after 6pm with our validation.  The Rock and Blues Cruises are also easily accessible by public transportation by taking the Blue Line to the Aquarium stop.

Rock and Blues Cruises are available for charter for corporate events and community group outings.  For information on private cruises and group ticket sales for our existing calendar of events, please email info@rockandbluescruise.com or call the Rock and Blues Cruise Info Line at  617-467-4037 .

From the personal statistics in "Who's Interested" it appears that for most of the 40 (so far), this is their first event. Welcome. Recent changes have made navigation a bit more complicated, but I encourage you to explore Going and find other folk / singer-songrwiter events, I know there are at least four other Ellis Paul concerts listed.

The northeast Folk n' Roots group lists many concerts, workshops and related events that may be to your liking. Posting traffic is light, recommend joining and receiving email updates when someone posts a comment in the discussion thread.

By the way, I am presenting Flynn, who produces Ellis albums, at my series in JP on June 20. Details in the NE Folk n Roots group, or search for "Flynn" or "Notlob".
