is a new breed, volunteer-run community, social, and organizing
group that hosts neighborhood social and organizing events, run
programs, and collaborates with other community organizations, and
our local police department, to provide members with the
opportunity to connect, create, lead and participate in community
projects. Our initiatives result in empowerment, civic engagement,
safety awareness, improving our community, and enhancing neighbors'
connections in a fun and casual setting. NFN has brought together
over 700 neighbors since its inception in October of 2004, and
produced 26 community service projects lead by 23 residents and
engaging over 400 community members.
