Who

Housing Families Inc. is one of The Rodman Ride's affiliated charities.

Housing Families Mission Statement

Housing Families works to end family homelessness in the communities we serve. We do this by providing safe, temporary shelter, creating affordable housing, and offering individualized supportive services to family members of all ages.

We respect each family in its journey toward greater security and stability.

Housing Families Inc. helps 400 homeless and extremely low-income people each day -- 300 of these are homeless and formerly homeless children. Housing Families helps these children and their parents to grow and heal from their past traumas, including losing their home.

Housing Families Inc. offers a range of academic and emotional supports namely, tutoring and counseling, which help children improve their grades and their self esteem. In addition to supportive services, they operate nearly 100 units of affordable housing and transitional shelters. Housing Families Inc. seeks to empower families and is steadfast in their mission to end family homelessness.

All proceeds from this event will go directly towards The NICKERSON Ride Team’s goal of $20,000 to be donated to Housing Families Inc.

More than Just another Bike Ride…

The Rodman Ride for Kids is an umbrella matching gift charity raising funds for youth-focused social service agencies in Massachusetts. The Ride for Kids and its affiliated agencies fundraise year-round, culminating with The Ride event, a 25, 50, and 100-mile non-competitive cycling tour, each fall. The expenses associated with the Ride for Kids are less than 4% of the total revenue, and they are all underwritten. This means that when you donate to the Ride or Kids, 100% of your donation will directly benefit at-risk kids!

Since its inception in 1991, the Ride For Kids has raised over $37 million to help at-risk children in Massachusetts.

We are now seeking sponsors/riders to help reach our goal of $15,000.00 this year!

Each year, the Ride For Kids relies on the generous support of more than 500 prominent corporations and 1,200 riders to help support vital children’s services in Massachusetts. WHAT IS A SPONSOR?
A sponsor is a company or a group of individuals who make a financial contribution to the Ride for Kids. Sponsors typically fall under one of the following categories:
Corporate sponsorship
A corporate contribution without riders.
Team sponsorship
A group of individuals form a team and each rider raises
funds individually. The goal is to raise $1,000 per rider.
Corporate and Team sponsorship
A combination of the above, where a company makes a
corporate contribution, which is added to by employees
who raise additional funds.
