Emerson Stage, the producing organization of Emerson College, presents Esperanza Rising by Lynne Alvarez, based on the book by Pam Munoz Ryan. The play follows the journey of one girl, Esperanza, from her native Mexico to the fields of southern California. Great for the whole family, this bilingual play confronts cultural difference by sharing a message of hope. Directed by Roxanne Schroeder-Arce, the show will feature a cast of Emerson students.
