The Secrets of Tomb 10A: Egypt 2000 BC

On October 18, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, will bring to light “ The Secrets of Tomb 10A: Egypt 2000 BC,” an exhibition that travels back in time 4,000 years and takes visitors on a journey through the afterlife. “ The Secrets of Tomb 10A” will reveal the contents of the largest Middle Kingdom burial assemblage ever discovered, including the famous “Bersha Coffin,” the mummified head of the one of the tomb’s occupants, and hundreds of items deemed necessary for a comfortable afterlife in ancient Egypt.  For the first time since they were discovered in 1915, the trove will be displayed in its entirety.
