    SAT 10/27

    5 P.M. to Closing
"Eat, Drink & Be Scary" Halloween Bash
    at Dick's Last Resort

A devilish good time of fiendish fun is to be had at Dick's Last Resort, at Quincy Market in Faneuil Hall Marketplace, when Dick's hosts "Eat, Drink & Be Scary," their 14th Annual Halloween Bash,

Presented by Dick's and Coors Light, this heinous night of maniacal mayhem will be THE place to HOWL this Halloween. (Dick's Halloween BASH is a 21-PLUS night.) The Coors Girls will be on hand from 9 - 11 p.m. to meet, greet and hand out free stuff. Entertainment will be by Soul City, Boston's hippest, hottest band.

First prize for this year's infamous COSTUME CONTEST is $200.00 COLD HARD CASH. Dick's Halloween bash always draws the most diabolical characters in town, and this year's blood-curdling blow-out will be the best ever ! Plus Dick's always appalling wait staff will be dressed to kill in horrifying, over-the-top creations of their own mischievous design.

To keep the bellies of the unholy masses full, Dick's best eats will be on the menu, including savory ribs, steak, salads, pasta specialties, shrimp, lobster and crab legs.

Tempting Severed "Finger Foods" will include "Bat Wings" (Dick's Mumbo-Jumbo Chicken Wings), "Dracula Queso" (Cheezy Queso Spiked With Tequila) and "Monster Balls" (Goblin' Good Crab Balls). Top it all off with something decadent from the dessert menu and you've got a monstrous night of fun that'd make even The Mummy unravel.

Frightfully Good Halloween Potions are set to include: Electric Lemonade (Absolut & Sweet 'n Sour Lemonade); Ultra Violet (Shakka Grape Liqueur & Red Bull); Mad Dog 20/20 ( . . . for that much needed kick in the pants); plus . . . The Bodacious Beverage du Jour will be a thirst-quenching Dick's Hurricane.

Hey, if it's a party at Dick's, then it's an outrageous, check-your-inhibitions-at-the-door blast. The fact that it's Halloween will only drive the insanity and surprises through the roof.

    SAT 10/27

Zombies From The Future Come Back In Time To Warn Earthlings Of Impending Doom

the Boston Phoenix has taken notice: "Back at ZuZu on Wednesday night, the indie hip-hop collective ZWA, or Zombies with Attitude, lurched to the mikes in tattered clothes and powdered faces. Given a name like that, you won't find their signature conceit much of a shock: back-from-the-grave corpses shouting rhymes only George Romero could love. (Sample couplet: "I'm not part of your world/Ever since I died on the tilt-a-whirl.") But the trio -- Mac Swell and TD from Big Digits and U.V. Protection's Karen Tsiakals -- ably represented the undead ("I'm the epitome of Z-O-M-B-I-E") while unearthing a few choreographed dance moves that haven't seen the light of day since the "Thriller" video. And on one song, they even resurrected a long-dead hit by bringing the Thompson Twins' "Hold Me Now" -- or at least its chorus, which was cannibalized for the hook -- back to life. Now that's scary"

    Boston's Halloween Bike Ride 2007
Meeting at Green Street T Station in JP

Once again, a loose collective of ghouls is planning the 2007 Halloween Bike Ride.

    Halloween Bike Ride
Costumes and costumed bikes ghoulishly encouraged!
    Helmets and Lights too!
This is a Free Event, DIY Organized and community based.
more info will be posted here as it developes. check back. and spread the word.

we're planning stops along the way. If you have suggestions or questions, please send them to hwr @ truthserum.org but close the gaps and put "halloween bike ride" in the subject line.

Please help us spread the word. This is open to everyone!

    ok, here is the route:
ha, ha. nope. we're keeping it secret until just before the ride. check back!

The ride in 2006 was amazing! The weather was perfect and everything went really smoothly. We got press in the Globe and Metro which helped bring out some new participants, we had 92 people as we rode through JP. We lost a few and gained about 10-15 in Coolidge Corner at the Devil Music show. We lost a few and gained a few (including a guy on a motorized blade thing) in Harvard Sq. and Central Square at the Middle East. Highlights (for me at least!) included a nice stop on Landsdown Street where the acoustics were fantastic for the stereo bike, teaching the cabbies in Brookline some patience, the Queen sing along in Allston, riding through the bus tunnel at Harvard Sq. T Station, screaming and making noise all night, dressing up my bike and seeing what other craziness people had come up with for costumes, the after ride ice cream at JP Licks, watching The Exorcist at people I don't know's house in JP after ice cream, and finding out that my friend Walter had come off cape to do the ride costumed so well that I didn't know it was him until the very end of the ride! As we were chugging up South Huntington some folks thanked me for the best experience they'd had in Boston so far, which was really sweet. The ride is all about everyone who rides, not just the folks who helped put it together, so thanks for doing it!
