If you want the BEST place to get flowers, you have to go to Winston's on Boylston or Newbury. If your girlfriend works in Boston and you're trying to impress her and all of her coworkers ... this is the place to go.

If you want to pick up flowers - go to Russo's in Watertown.

These are the two BEST places around!

im shocked you wrote winstons! every time i have gotten flowers from them (including an arrangement i got 2 weeks ago) they are either dead when i get them or they die within a couple of days. i honestly think almost every arrangement has been replaced by winston's with another arrangement and a note of apology! unfortunately the fancy name has hardly come through with a decent product! everyone i knows thinks winston flowers are the worst and have moved onto independent florists around back bay, beacon hill and south end....please let me know your experience b/c everyone i know hates them!

When I worked in Boston - I got flowers from them 2-3 times ... and that was years ago 2002-2003. And at that same company, one of the people that I worked with got flowers monthly (and more on birthdays and anniversaries) and all except one bunch of roses were perfect (out of more than a dozen arrangements). Maybe their quality has gone down and I've never personally had a complaint. And truth be told - I haven't gotten flowers from them for years ... and having gotten flowers from other places - I'm not impressed with those either. As memory serves for me - Winston's worked.

How can you recommed something you have only 2-3 experinces with and their not even recent. Are they paying you to advertise for them.
I agree with Ann-Marie the only time I got good flowers from them was when I went in person and even then they didn't last very long. independent is the way to go. Independent shops have to have quality after all they don't have their name to rile on. Just because it's a "big name" it's good? That is why I can't (never mind). People, please form your opinions based on experience not what you told to like. The little "blue box" way of thinking or juding something, is a closed boxed mentality...

actually, this toyota link should help more on general knowledge about the technology behind hybrid cars.. how they work and if they are right for you.

i was one of their hybrid ride and drive representatives when they were on the last USA tour.

if you are ever in the neighborhood when the semi-truck comes to your nearest location, you should check the event out.. see the website for more information.

the inside of the tour truck has tons of informative digital information about the technology versus regular vehicles + you will receive worthwhile freebies at the event.

BTW.. not all hybrid cars are created equal. only a few hybrids allow you to cross toll bridges without paying no matter how many people are in the vehicle..

and here's a little known fact.. if you buy a toyota hybrid, like the prius, from a San Jose, CA dealership.. not only can you get toll-free bridge access, but you can park anywhere in san jose for free, even the metered parking.

I know this is really random but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with classes at Cambridge Center for Adult Eduction? I enrolled in a class but after the first session I decided I did not want to attend the class due to the inappropriate content of the class and they won't refund me the money. Anyone have a similar experience? Any suggestions on how to handle this? Thank you!
