I started Boston Convivium in November, 2002. I host a large cocktail party in Boston once a month, usually at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel or the downtown Harvard club, with about 500 people attending. Great wines, awesome art, beautiful setting...what more could you want?

Just wanted to let you all know about a great event coming up THIS Thursday (as in, three days from now), June 7 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. (Full disclosure: I have the enviable pleasure of actually working here at the Gardner, high above the courtyard.)

The event, A Spring Serata, provides a cool twist on tasting: site-specific wine pairing. That means we're pairing up wines with places, like serving grassy-nosed Sauvignon Blanc in the grassy outdoor Monks Garden behind the museum, or pouring floral Viognier alongside the courtyard garden. Cool stuff. There's also live music and, of course, art.     The meet and greet, after party, etc. will be on May 19th, at 9 PM at Tommy Doyle's at Kendall Square. To be admitted to the event, you just have to bring your stubs from the screening. It's otherwise free.
