Going has great potential, but I have observed that group activity has fallen off, particularly since the 5/20 format revamp.

As a group owner (I run the Northeast Folk n Roots group and a couple others), I am polling my peers to determine why they are allowing their groups, which serve as generators of active participation and interest, to go dormant. Last activity in http://boston.going.com/group-89;Cult... was 108 days ago.

    Your group is dormant because…

You believe once a group has been created it’s not the owner’s responsibility to build and maintain membership?

It’s been so long since you visited you forgot the group exists.

The new (5/20) format is difficult to navigate?

You no longer are active in Going and forgot to ask another to take over?

You have found something better that Going?

    Other?

To facilitate group owner/administrator dialogue with the objective of increasing group participation, I invite you to join the newly created http://going.com/group-2410;Going_Gro...

Actually, this would be considered "Carnival" in New Orleans, but we're doing the celebrating on Saturday with Jake's Dixie Roadhouse. Dance to the music of New England's finest tribute to the music of New Orleans, the birthplace of American music. Come meet the band and hang with Waltham's finest.

Introduce yourself to me and I'll buy you a beer!
