From June 2, 2007 to June 28, 2008, Notlob Parlor Concerts
presented the best local and touring roots, Americana, newgrass,
traditional and contemporary folk and blues artists at the historic
Loring-Greenough House, 12 South Street, Jamaica Plain, MA.
Built in 1760, the venue listed in the National Register of
Historic Places and has been a historic ho
use museum since 1926. Its beautiful period decor and intimate size
made it an ideal setting for acoustic music.
Over the course of 27 concerts, artists included
Bob Franke, the
Rowan Brothers, Geoff Bartley, ChrisThompson, Dennis Brennan, Aoife
O’Donovan, Rushad Eggleston, Tristin Clairridge, Corey
DiMario (all of Crooked Still),
Kristin Andraessen (Uncle Earl);
Chris Merenda, Mike Merenda, and Ruthy Ungar Merenda (all of the Mammals),
Pat Wictor, Jud Caswell, Sharon Lewis, Brian Webb ... For a complete listing with links to the artists' websites see
the
"alumni"
page.
Unfortunately the owners are scaling back use during the Winter
heating months, we hope to return in the Sprin
g.
The Fall 2008 season concerts are presented
