Perks Coffeehouse is open:
Monday - Wednesday: 6 AM - 9 PM
Thursday - Friday: 6 AM - 10 PM
Saturday: 7 AM - 10 PM
Sunday: 7 AM - 3 PM
The kitchen is ALWAYS open (until 15 minutes before closing)
We serve great soups, salads, and sandwiches. We also have cakes, muffins, scones, biscotti, raspberry lime rickies, and hot chocolate etc. Don't let the coffeehouse name scare you. But, best of all we have FREE live music every Thursday and Friday. See the "Event Listings" for dates and musicians.
FROM THE KITCHEN CREATE YOUR OWN SANDWICH:
THE BASICS:
Honey Ham, Turkey Breast, Roast Beef, Corned Beef, Tuna Salad, Chicken Salad, Egg Salad, Grilled Chicken, Bacon.
BREADS:
Roll-up, French, White, Wheat, Marble rye, Multi grain, Health.
CHEESES:
American, Cheddar, Swiss, Havarti dill, Boursin, Provolone, Jack, Feta.
VEGGIES:
Lettuce, Tomato, Sprouts, Onion, Cucumber, Mushrooms, Jalapenos, Pickles, Roast Red Peppers,Carrots, Pea Pods, Etc.
SPREADS/DRESSINGS:
Ranch, Herb Vinaigrette, Honey Mustard, Honey Ginger, Oil and Vinegar, Caesar, Greek, Parmesan peppercorn, Russian, Pesto, Mayo.
SIDES:
Cole Slaw, Potato Salad, Chips, Baked Chips.
SALADS:
Caesar, Oriental, Greek, Garden (all available with grilled chicken or shrimp) or Chef w/ Ham, Turkey, Roast Beef, and Cheese.
WE ALSO HAVE:
Paninis, Clubs, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Daily Lunch Specials, and on Friday, Great Clam Chowder.
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT: EXTREME THIN CRUST INDIVIDUAL PIZZAS:
Pesto with grilled chicken. White sauce with baby shrimp. Red sauce with fresh cut basil and choice of toppings.
WHERE IS PERKS COFFEEHOUSE?
Perks Coffeehouse is located at 685 Washington Street (RT. 1a) in the heart of uptown Norwood. Routes 1, 128, and 95 all pass through Norwood as does the Frankline/495/Forge Park commuter rail line. Perks is less than a 5 minute walk from both the Norwood Central and Norwood Depot train stops.
ABOUT THE VENUE:
Perks 1400 SQ. FT. dining room seats over 60 people, and on
occasion, has held audiences of well over 100. Perks hosts live
original music every Thursday and Friday 8 - 10 PM.
Performers no longer need to bring a sound system.
Perks now has a top of the line Behringer PA system.
System information
(1) Behringer PMP2000 Amplifier, 350W X2CH, W/10 line mixer.
(2) Behringer E1520 15" 2-way speakers.
(One tripod mounted speaker and one floor monitor.)
(3) Behringer XM8500 Microphones.
(3) DR Pro Tripod Mic Boom Stands.
This system is Rock Solid, but if you would prefer to use your own
equipment please let us know in advance. Otherwise we will have the
system set up and ready for you to use.
Performers can sell merchandise and take tips but no "pass the hat." We don't charge a cover (yet) or serve alcohol so the gig does not pay a fortune...But the room is worth it!

We have some great music and variety coming this Friday to Perks! Dr. X will be sure to get you excited and ready for the weekend(Hopefully warm weekend!)
Anyways, to get you through the chilly week, I recommend indulging in a warm cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream! Want to make it warm and chilly? Add a sweet flavor shot of "mint" to any hot beverage!
